I have never taken much interest in black issues or Martin Luther King Jr day but this year I had a new insight about the Black and White tensions in America. God really moved in my spirit over the holiday weekend and beyond. I found it odd in the middle of researching, learning, and Divine Influence Trump was meeting with his son. I see this as a sign that I should pray for this man.
Not that I needed enlightenment to see this man needs prayer but I’m not sure it would have dawned on me otherwise.
I am selective about who I pray for when it comes to outsiders. I need a sign. I consider praying for most people as effective as setting yourself on fire.
“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
I don’t mind giving material things to the neighbors but as far as devoting my direct attention towards someone I don’t know and may not personally like. Interceding for someone boldly before the throne of the Holy God is major.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Although I don’t see Trump confessing any sins anytime soon I’m going to use the above scripture when referring to our president. On the basis that my convictions about living a Godly life and doing what’s right no matter what the cost.
